Do you experience tender, swollen breasts before your period?

The feel of our breasts can tell us a lot about our hormonal health, specifically in the days before menstruation. Tender, heavy, sore breasts…y’all know what I’m talking about?!🤦🏽‍♀️

Mastalgia (cyclical breast soreness) may be considered “normal”, but it’s actually a sign of hormone imbalance, specifically excess estrogen.

So the #1 way to not have breast soreness is to take Iodine regularly. You can do this with diet (think leafy greens, egg yolks and iodized salt). Ova Moon has a kelp-derived form of iodine in all 3 of our supplements for this expressed reason. If breast tenderness is a particularly challenging part of your cycle, then try the Hormone + Cycle Balancing Multi because it has 300mcg of iodine.

Other ways to diminish excess estrogen is to make sure you are pooping every day (preferably in the morning), to rid the body of excess hormones.

Lastly, exercise, exercise, exercise! During ovulation and early-to-mid luteal, make sure to incorporate cardio and other ways to push your body (worry-not, your hormones can support it!)
